Man Dies After Being Crushed by Jeep in Lamjung

Lamjung. Kumar Gurung, 29, of Dordi Rural Municipality-4, Thulakhet, died after being crushed by a jeep. Police Inspector Abhishek Pandey of the District Police Office informed that Gurung died this afternoon after being crushed by the Bolero jeep with registration number Ga 1 Ja 7092 in Lamidanda of the same rural municipality.

According to him, Gurung was injured after being crushed by the rear part of the jeep, sustaining injuries to his chest and arm, while trying to remove the 'ota' (chock/wedge) from the rear after starting the jeep near the mother's group building. The police stated that although locals immediately rescued him and brought him to the Provincial Hospital in Besisahar Municipality-8 via the same jeep for treatment, doctors declared him dead.
