Rastriya Swatantra Party's DP Aryal Vows to Fight Misgovernance After Election Victory in Kathmandu-9

Kathmandu. Dol Prasad (DP) Aryal, Deputy Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), elected from Kathmandu-9, stated that his competition will be against misgovernance and corruption. Addressing the voters after receiving the certificate of victory from the election office, he expressed confidence that the country will now move towards prosperity.

'This victory belongs to all the voters of this constituency. I want to thank all the voters and my fellow competitors. We walked together in this electoral journey. They are my companions. My competition is only with the corrupt,' he said.

Aryal also mentioned that this election was the most special one to date. 'Such an election has not happened before, nor will it happen in the future. The people want good governance, which they have proven through their votes,' he said.

'We have not come just to do politics. We have not come merely to become Prime Minister, Minister, or leader. We have come to make the country prosperous, equipped with good governance, and free from corruption,' he stated.

Aryal also committed to doing justice-oriented work that the people of Kathmandu Constituency No. 9 will feel. 'The Gorkhali does not know how to lose. I am also a Gorkhali who does not know how to lose. Our victory is the end of corruption and the establishment of good governance,' he said.

Aryal was elected from Kathmandu-9 by securing 35,093 votes. His closest competitor, Nanu Maya Bastola of the Nepali Congress, received 5,460 votes. Aryal has also become the candidate with the largest margin of victory in the Kathmandu Valley. He won by a margin of 29,633 votes.

He thanked the election officers, election office staff, and security personnel deployed to conduct the election, and urged everyone to cooperate in counting the proportional representation votes as well.
