Rastriya Swatantra Party's Ganesh Parajuli Pledges Accountable Service After Kathmandu Election Victory

Kathmandu. Ganesh Parajuli, a leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Kathmandu Constituency No. 7, has expressed his determination to uphold the mandate given by the people and serve in a manner that he never has to bow his head during his tenure. Speaking with journalists on Saturday, he stated that the election results confirm the people's intense hunger for change, and he will fulfill his responsibilities accordingly.

Stating that public opinion is paramount in a democracy, Parajuli opined that this victory belongs not just to the RSP but to the entire Nepali populace. Regarding constitutional amendments, he informed that they would proceed by bringing all parties to consensus and that a task force would be formed to draw concrete conclusions for this purpose. He has prioritized the issue of establishing good governance in the country.

Clarifying the recent discussions surrounding the provincial structure, he claimed that the RSP has never advocated for the abolition of provinces. His argument is to move forward by restructuring and reforming the current form of the provincial structure within the three tiers of federalism. Parajuli stated that when the RSP leads the government, the responsibility to fulfill the dreams seen by every Nepali citizen rests on their shoulders. Parajuli won the House of Representatives seat from Kathmandu 7 by securing 27,805 votes.
