Rastriya Swatantra Party Shows Strong Performance in House of Representatives Elections

Kathmandu. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has garnered widespread public support in the House of Representatives elections. As counting continues, the RSP has already secured victory in 7 constituencies and is leading in 108 others.

It is natural to be curious about the RSP's standing in other ongoing counting areas. In most constituencies outside those where they are leading, the RSP is seen in third place, and in some, they are in second place.

In Dailekh-1, Nepali Congress's Basana Thapa is in the lead with 10,376 votes, while CPN-UML's Rabindra Raj Sharma is second with 9,763 votes, and RSP's Nandakishor Basnet is third with 7,209 votes.

Similarly, in Surkhet Constituency No. 1, Nepali Congress's Bishnu Bahadur Khadka is leading with 9,022 votes, CPN-UML's Dhruvkumar Shahi is second with 6,545 votes, and RSP's Tek Bahadur Singh Thakuri is third with 5,353 votes.

In Kapilvastu Constituency No. 3, Nepali Congress's Abhishek Pratap Shah is in the lead with 9,038 votes, while RSP's Prakash Rajauria is second with 8,232 votes.

In Tehrathum, Nepali Congress's Santosh Subba is leading with 8,392 votes, CPN-UML's Bhanubhakta Dhakal is second with 8,196 votes, and RSP's Surendra Karki is third with 6,430 votes.

In Dhading Constituency No. 2, Nepali Congress's Ramesh Prasad Dhamala leads with 3,649 votes, followed by CPN (Unified) Ram Bahadur Bhandari in second with 2,758 votes, and RSP's Bodhnarayan Shrestha in third with 1,897 votes.

In Taplejung, Nepali Congress's Gajendra Prasad Tumyang Limbu leads with 3,272 votes, CPN-UML's Khitiz Thebe is second with 3,140 votes, CPN (Unified) Khel Prasad Budhakshetri is third, and RSP's Birendra Shrestha is fourth with 1,071 votes.

In Rautahat Constituency No. 2, Nepali Congress's Firdos Alam leads with 2,692 votes, while RSP's Sheikh Sagir is second with 1,899 votes.

In Sindhupalchok-2, Nepali Congress's Banshlal Tamang is in the lead with 2,183 votes. CPN (Unified)'s Yubaraj Dulal is second, CPN-UML's Sher Bahadur Tamang is third, and RSP's Jhalak Kumar Shrestha is fourth with 1,292 votes.

In Bajura, Nepali Congress's Janakraj Giri leads with 1,869 votes, CPN-UML's Lalbahadur Thapa is second with 1,110 votes, and RSP's Hemraj Thapa is third with 319 votes.

In Ilam Constituency No. 1, Nepali Congress's Nishkal Rai has an initial lead with 977 votes, CPN-UML's Kajiman Kagate is second with 743 votes, and RSP's Bimal Gadal is third with 629 votes.

In Kapilvastu Constituency No. 2, CPN (Unified)'s Brijesh Kumar Gupta leads with 8,034 votes, while RSP's Bikram Thapa is second with 5,062 votes.

In Kavre-1, RSP's Madhukumar Chaulagai is in fourth place with 2,399 votes. CPN (Unified)'s Dinnath Gautam leads with 6,682 votes, Nepali Congress's Gunaraj Muktan is second, and CPN-UML's Ami Tamang is third.

In Sindhuli-2, CPN (Unified)'s Lekhnath Dahal leads with 6,391 votes, while RSP's Ashish Gajurel is second with 4,797 votes.

In Salyan, CPN (Unified)'s Ramesh Kumar Malla leads with 6,058 votes, Congress's Keshab Bahadur Bista is second with 2,391 votes, and RSP's Lalitkumar Chand is third with 2,211 votes.

In Rolpa, CPN (Unified)'s Barshaman Pun leads with 4,486 votes, Nepali Congress's Sudan Kumar Wali is second with 3,130 votes, CPN-UML's Gokul Prasad Gharti is third with 2,619 votes, and RSP's Balaram Thapa is fourth with 2,329 votes.

In Achham-1, CPN (Unified)'s Bhim Bahadur Rawal leads with 3,594 votes, CPN-UML's Deepak Bahadur Saud is second with 3,314 votes, Nepali Congress's Bharatkumar Swar is third with 3,206 votes, and RSP's Omprakash Rawal is fourth with 455 votes.

In Ramechhap, RSP's Krishnahari Budhathoki is in fourth place with 723 votes. CPN (Unified)'s Shyamkumar Shrestha is in first place with 1,417 votes. Ujyalo Nepal Party is second, and Nepali Congress is third.

In Humla, RSP candidate Tashi Lhamjo is in fifth place with 7 votes. CPN (Unified)'s Dipendra Rokaya leads with 863 votes, followed by CPN-UML in second, Nepali Congress in third, and CPN (Maoist) in fourth place.

In Dolpa, RSP candidate Devsingh Aidi is in third place with 59 votes. CPN (Unified)'s Dhanbahadur Buda is first with 517 votes, and Nepali Congress's Karnabahadur Buda is second with 109 votes.

In Banke-2, CPN-UML's Mohammad Istiyak Rai leads with 16,713 votes, while RSP's Vivek Kumar Shrestha is second with 13,182 votes.

In Gulmi Constituency No. 2, UML's Gokulraj Bista leads with 8,456 votes, while RSP's Govinda Panthi is second with 7,689 votes.

In Doti, CPN-UML's Deepakbahadur Dhami leads with 6,529 votes, Nepali Congress's Bharatbahadur Khadka is second with 5,746 votes, and RSP's Narendrabahadur Khadka is third with 3,999 votes.

In Bajhang, UML's Ainbahadur Mahar leads with 5,252 votes, Nepali Congress's Prakash Rasaili Snehi is second with 4,890 votes, and RSP's Shailesh Kumar Singh is third with 3,344 votes.

In Palpa-1, CPN-UML's Narayanprasad Acharya is in the lead with 5,117 votes, Nepali Congress's Sandeep Rana is second with 4,855 votes, and RSP's Bimal Pant is third with 4,316 votes.

In Sindhuli-1, CPN-UML's Pradipkumar Katuwal Chhetri leads with 4,401 votes, Nepali Congress's Ujjwal Prasad Baral is second with 3,409 votes, and RSP's Dhanendra Karki is third with 2,930 votes.

In Dailekh-2, UML's Laxmiprasad Pokharel leads with 3,913 votes, Nepali Congress's Dikpal Kumar Shahi is second with 2,934 votes, and RSP's Bakhatbahadur Shahi is third with 1,229 votes.

In Okhaldhunga, UML's Asmita Thapa leads with 2,570 votes, while RSP's Bishwaraj Pokharel is second with 1,953 votes.

In Syangja-2, UML's Khimbahadur Thapa leads with 2,043 votes, Congress's Bhagwat Prakash Malla is second with 1,510 votes, and RSP's Jhavilal Dumre is third with 845 votes.

In Achham-2, CPN-UML's Yagya Bahadur Bogati is in first place with 1,539 votes, Congress's Pushpabahadur Shah is second with 1,059 votes, and RSP's Bhupdev Shah is third with 743 votes.

In Darchula, UML's Ganeshsingh Thagunna leads with 1,489 votes, Nepali Congress's Dharmananda Joshi is second with 1,433 votes, and RSP's Rajesh Singh Samant is third with 558 votes.

In Udayapur-2, UML's Ambar Bahadur Rayamajhi leads with 1,362 votes, Shram Sanskriti Party's Balraj Rai is second with 1,254 votes, and RSP's Suryabahadur Tamang is third with 1,116 votes.

In Ilam-2, Shram Sanskriti Party's Sudip Rai secured the lead with 5,155 votes, UML's Suhang Nemwang is second with 4,687 votes, Congress's Bhojraj Acharya is third with 2,033 votes, and RSP's Gokul Bahadur Rai is fourth with 1,483 votes.

In Panchthar, RSP's Mahendra Vikram Thamsuhang is in sixth place with 365 votes. Shram Sanskriti Party's Hastaraj Sherma leads with 3,048 votes. Nepali Communist Party, CPN-UML, Nepali Congress, and Rastriya Parivartan Party are in second, third, fourth, and fifth places, respectively.

In Khotang, RSP's Rudra Giri is in fifth place with 277 votes. Shram Sanskriti Party's Aren Rai leads with 2,378 votes, followed by Nepali Congress in second, UML in third, and CPN (Unified) in fourth place.

In Bhojpur, Shram Sanskriti Party's Dhuraj Rai leads with 1,408 votes, Nepali Congress's Balkrishna Thapa is second with 1,118 votes, UML's Sherdhan Rai is third with 1,104 votes, and RSP's Ramesh Prasad Ojha is fourth with 839 votes.

In Myagdi, RSP candidate Yuvraj Roka is in fifth place with 932 votes. Independent candidate Mahabir Pun was elected with 12,952 votes.

In Jumla, RPP's Gyanbahadur Shahi leads with 6,738 votes, while RSP's Binita Kathayat is in sixth place with 91 votes.
