Rastriya Swatantra Party Takes Lead in Dadeldhura Parliamentary Vote Count

Dadeldhura. In the ongoing vote count for the House of Representatives election, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is increasing its lead in Dadeldhura. The RSP, which has taken the lead in most constituencies under the first-past-the-post system, has now established a lead in Dadeldhura as well.

In Dadeldhura, the sole constituency, RSP's Tara Prasad Joshi has taken the lead with 4,721 votes. Congress candidate Nain Singh Mahar is in second place with 2,883 votes.

The Nepali Congress had remained undefeated in every parliamentary election in Dadeldhura district since 048 BS. Former Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba used to contest from this constituency and had never faced defeat in any parliamentary election.

Following a change in leadership through a special general convention, Congress nominated Mahar in place of Deuba.

In Dadeldhura, CPN's Man Singh Mal has secured 2,715 votes. Similarly, CPN-UML's Chakra Prasad Snehi has received 1,261 votes.
