Votes from All Constituencies in Jhapa District to Arrive at Headquarters by 8:30 AM

Kathmandu. The ballot boxes containing votes cast in all constituencies of Jhapa district for the House of Representatives election are scheduled to arrive at the district headquarters by 8:30 AM. Chief District Officer Shivaram Gelal informed that the process of collecting the ballot boxes is currently underway, and an all-party meeting will be convened once the boxes arrive to finalize the time for vote counting.

‘As soon as we collect the ballot boxes, we will call an all-party meeting. If there is consensus in that meeting to count the votes today, the counting may begin tonight from 11 PM. We are preparing accordingly. However, that decision depends on the consensus of all parties,’ Chief District Officer Gelal told Ratopati.

 Jhapa 5 is the most closely watched constituency in this election.
