Jhapa District Sees Encouraging Voter Turnout in House of Representatives Election as of 4 PM

Biratnagar. Voter turnout in Jhapa district for the House of Representatives Election 2082 is proceeding encouragingly. According to statistics released by the District Administration Office, Jhapa, as of 4 PM, the average voter turnout across the district stood at 59.67 percent.

Among the five constituencies in the district, Constituency No. 5 recorded the highest turnout, while Constituency No. 1 showed the lowest.

The constituency-wise details are as follows:

Constituency No. 1: 58.58 percent (76,774 votes cast)

Constituency No. 2: 60.63 percent (89,443 votes cast)

Constituency No. 3: 58.66 percent (82,629 votes cast)

Constituency No. 4: 58.96 percent (77,072 votes cast)

Constituency No. 5: 61.10 percent (99,819 votes cast)

Out of a total of 713,537 registered voters in Jhapa, 425,737 people had exercised their right to vote by 4 PM. This data, certified by the Assistant Chief District Officer, indicates that the voting process across the district is proceeding peacefully. Since the voting time is set until 5 PM, the final percentage is expected to increase further.
