Russia and China Condemn US and Israeli Military Actions Against Iran Amid Rising Regional Tensions

Beijing. Amid rising tensions in the Middle East, Russia and China have criticized the military actions carried out by the United States and Israel against Iran, as reported by America and Israel.

 Moscow stated that they have not seen concrete evidence that Tehran is developing nuclear weapons, while Beijing demanded an immediate halt to the attacks.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi expressed strong dissatisfaction with the attack on Iran during a telephone conversation with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar on Tuesday. According to China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he stated that it was unfortunate that military steps were taken at a time when talks between Washington and Tehran were moving towards significant progress.

Wang said, 'China opposes any military strikes by Israel and the US against Iran.' He called for an immediate cessation of military activities and warned against further escalation of the conflict. The ministry quoted Wang as saying, 'The use of force does not solve problems, but rather creates new problems and long-term serious consequences.'

According to the Chinese side, during the talks, Sa'ar accepted the request to take concrete steps for the security of Chinese citizens and institutions in Iran. Earlier on Monday, Wang had also held separate talks with the foreign ministers of Iran, Oman, and France in an effort to de-escalate regional tensions.
