Parliament meeting begins

Kathmandu – Today's session of the House of Representatives, lower house in the bicameral Federal Parliament, has begun. The meeting will hold general discussions about the government's estimated income and expenditure for the upcoming fiscal year 2075-76 BS( 2018-19). 


At the onset of the meeting, lawmaker Athar Kamal Musalman demanded time to speak against the rise in the prices of petroleum products. He demanded the government withdraw the decision. Similarly, Prem Suwal drew the attention of the government towards the issue of gold smuggling. In today's lower house session, Finance Minister Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada is scheduled to reply queries about the new budget that he had presented before the joint sitting of the Federal Parliament on May 29. ---
