Key Road Section Connecting Dang's Three Constituencies Remains Unpaved for Five Years

Dang. The Damodar road section in Jaitpur, Ward 14 of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City, which connects all three constituencies of Dang, has been left neglected for five years without being paved with asphalt.

Constituency No. 2 connects at Bhaisapatra in Ghorahi-Tulsipur-8, while Constituency No. 1 connects at Dangigaun in Ghorahi-5. Similarly, Ghorahi-8 falls under Constituency No. 2, and Ghorahi-5 falls under Constituency No. 1. Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-14 falls under Constituency No. 3. Thus, the Damodar road section, which connects these three constituencies and is considered a pride project of Dang, has been left neglected for five years as it has not been asphalted.

More than five years have passed since gravel was laid for asphalting on the Damodar stretch connecting Ghorahi to Hapur in Babai Rural Municipality, but it has still not been upgraded with paving.

Locals say that asphalting is currently underway up to Nainwar in Ghorahi along that road. Local Narayan Khadka stated that the 18-kilometer stretch, including Jaitpur in Tulsipur-14 which is nearby, has not been paved. He said, "Paving has been done from the Urhari side of Tulsipur-11, bypassing the middle of this very ward. This has caused hardship for the citizens here in commuting."

Khadka mentioned that locals in the Jaitpur area of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-14 feel neglected because the road upgrade has not happened here, even though paving has been completed in the surrounding areas. The Damodar road is also considered an alternative route connecting Western Dang. He added that if this road is constructed, local produce can be easily taken to the market.
