CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Prachanda Pledges Formation of Powerful Dalit Development Authority

Kathmandu. Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center), Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', has stated that a powerful Dalit Development Authority will be formed for the upliftment of the entire Dalit community.

Speaking at a program organized at the party headquarters in Paris Danda on Tuesday, he mentioned that the formation of a powerful Dalit Development Authority has been given high priority in the party's commitment letter. He clarified that this authority will guide the overall development of the Dalit community.

Chairman Dahal stated that the CPN has been fighting for special rights for the Dalit community at all levels of the state. "The rights of Dalits have been enshrined in the Constitution of Nepal issued by the Constituent Assembly. That is still not enough; we need to achieve special privileges," said former Prime Minister Dahal. "The government under my leadership had decided to establish that authority, and I had allocated the budget for its implementation, but the subsequent government did not move it forward."

He further claimed that polarization of revolutionary and leftist forces has begun since the formation of the CPN, asserting that soon all leftist forces will unite in one place.
