Nepali Congress Candidate Prakash Sharan Mahat Unveils Election Manifesto for Nuwakot-1

Kathmandu. Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat, the Nepali Congress candidate for the House of Representatives election in Nuwakot-1, has publicly released his election manifesto.

Dr. Mahat unveiled the manifesto, titled 'Prosperous Nuwakot Construction Campaign,' during a program in Nuwakot on Tuesday.

Dr. Mahat pledged to convert the trust of the people into votes and committed to delivering results. He emphasized that his priority is to continue the work he has undertaken while not contesting direct elections and to serve the public.

He committed to completing ongoing road sections such as the Tokha Chhahare Tunnel Route, Balaju-Rani Pauwa-Pipaletar, Dhikure-Samundratar-Golfubhanjyang Road, and the Tinpiplle-Chauthe-Kumari-Galchhi alternative highway. He also promised to construct roads and bridges connecting agricultural and tourism sectors to the rural municipality centers.

His manifesto includes commitments to control erosion along the Liku and Tadi rivers, ensure full irrigation for arable land, arrange for pure drinking water, guarantee the implementation of environmental impact assessments in areas affected by the Sisdol-Banchare dumping site, and enhance the quality and capacity of electrification.

He also set a goal to develop tourist areas, including areas from Kakani, Suirechaur, Baghmara, Talakhu Chhisa Pani, Panchakanya Kotthok up to Golfubhanjyang Kutungsang, by preparing master plans, and to transform religious sites like Dupeshwor and Kapileshwar Mahadev into international destinations.
