International Children's Theatre Festival underway

Bhaktapur –The four – day '2nd Kathmandu Achhyara International Children's Theatre Festival – 2018' is being held at Kandaghari of Kathmandu. 

The festival which started on Saturday is being participated by students from Achhyara school including schools from Bangladesh, Denmark, Germany, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Russia, Slovakia, Sri Lanka and Switzerland. 

During the festival dramas would be staged for students from 11 am to 1 pm and for adults at 5 pm. School's Principal Anju Bhattarai said the festival is being held with an aim to develop leadership qualities and enhance the capabilities of the children. 

The Achhyara school has been educating the children under the banner 'Culture-based Education'. The school focuses not only on text books and the trend to recall passages verbatim but on pragmatic knowledge. Around a hundred government and community schools have been invited to see the dramas.
