Prachanda Claims Competition Between Forces Seeking to Burn the Nation and Nationalist Powers

After touring various remote areas of the district during the election campaign, CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) stated that there is a competition between the forces responsible for the killings of youth and the tendency to burn the country, and the powers striving to save the nation in the name of nationalism.

He made this statement while expressing his views on the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24 and the subsequent elections during a press conference.

He specifically urged serious consideration of the massacre that occurred on the evening of the 23rd and the arson and vandalism incidents on the 24th.

According to him, the tendency shown by the concerned parties not to introspect on the incidents but rather to claim that 'no mistake was made' is a dangerous sign. "A tendency not to admit mistakes is visible. If the public does not understand this, it can happen again in the future," he warned.

Furthermore, mentioning that the houses of leftist and democratic parties were attacked during the arson and vandalism incidents on the 24th, he claimed that a tendency to act at the behest of forces aiming to destabilize the country has emerged.

Prachanda stated that his party stands clearly against both wrong tendencies of the 23rd and 24th.
