Training representatives to enhance service effectiveness

Darchula –The District Coordination Committee in Darchula is training the people's representatives so as to enhance the effectiveness of all kinds of services to the people at the local levels. 

They were given training on Local Governance Act, rules and regulations to shore up their competence, Committee's Chief Karabir Singh Karki said. 

The Committee said it had earlier trained the ward members, chairpersons, ward secretaries, municipal chief administrative official, deputy mayor and mayor in Sailyashikar municipality in the district. 

The next training which began on Wednesday is targeting the representatives in the Mahakali municipality. A total of 62 representatives including ward chairpersons, members, secretaries, mayor and deputy mayor among other officials of Mahakali municipality will be trained, according to Karki. The training will continue for three days. 

The training was inaugurated by Mahakali's Mayor Hansharaj Bhatta. It is expected that the completion of the training will bolster the effectiveness of the services provided to the people.
