Home Minister Thapa sees no development in presence of corruption

Dhangadhi –Minister for Home Affairs, Ram Bahadur Thapa, has ruled out the possibility of development and prosperity until the corruption, irregularities and syndicate system prevailed in the country.
Speaking at a press meet here today, the Home Minister said that the government was fully committed to eliminating corruption, irregularities and monopoly in any areas of public concerns.
He promised prompt action against those police personnel supporting and promoting smugglings and took the time to underline the need of a great reform in police administration, bureaucracy, and political parties. "The government has, realizing this reality, launched a campaign for purification and media support is necessary towards that end."
In a response of journalists' query, he said the government was seeking the political and administrative ways to find a solution to anti-constitutional activities of the Communist Party of Nepal (Biplav group).
In his view, the unification between the two communist parties to form the Communist Party of Nepal has ensured stability in the country.
The government decided to hold a security seminar in all seven provinces in a bid to strengthen the international security policy, as stated by the Home Minister.
Meanwhile, the Minister inaugurated a province-level seminar on security here today. Home Ministry's spokesperson Ram Krishna Subedi said the seminar would focus on the home administration reform action plan unveiled by the Ministry for proper security management.
