Ballot Printing Nears Completion for Upcoming House of Representatives Election

Bhaktapur. The printing of ballots required for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21 is reaching its final stage. Janak Shiksha Samagri Kendra Limited is currently printing the ballots.

Yadunath Poudel, the Managing Director of the center, informed that 1.2 to 1.5 million ballots are being printed daily, and all printing will be completed by Sunday. He stated, "As of this morning, we have completed printing ballots for six provinces and have started printing the required ballots for Bagmati Province. Out of a total of 20.3 million ballots to be printed, 17.3 million have been completed. With the remaining 3 million ballots printed by Sunday, all ballot printing will be finished."

Managing Director Poudel mentioned that the printing was slightly delayed because ballots for districts with many candidates need to be printed in a larger size, while those for districts with fewer candidates require a smaller size. He added that the transportation of ballots for the districts where printing is complete has begun through the Nepali Army.

The center has already delivered 1 million sample ballots, whose printing is complete, to various locations by the Election Commission. Furthermore, the printing of 20.83 million proportional representation ballots has been completed, and their transportation to the respective districts has commenced.

According to the center, the transportation of ballots for the constituencies in Salyan, Rukum West, Dolpa, Mugu, Humla, Kalikot, Jumla, Jajarkot, Dailekh, and Surkhet in Karnali Province has been completed. Ballot printing is complete and transportation is underway for 124 constituencies across 58 districts.

The center has also completed printing ballots for Dolpa, Mugu, Jumla, Kalikot, Humla, Jajarkot, Dailekh, Rukum (Western part), Salyan, Surkhet, Bajura, Achham, Bajhang, Doti, Dadeldhura, Darchula, Baitadi, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Panchthar, Ilam, Tehrathum, Bhojpur, Okhaldhunga, Sunsari, Taplejung, and Sankhuwasabha.

Similarly, the center announced that the printing of ballots for Solukhumbu, Khotang, Dhankuta, Baglung, Gulmi, Jhapa, Gorkha, Myagdi, Parbat, Bardaghat Susta West (Nawalparasi), Morang, Udayapur, Mustang, Lamjung, Tanahun, Syangja, Bardiya, Rukum East, Dang, Banke, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East), Palpa, Arghakhanchi, Pyuthan, Rupandehi, Rolpa, Manang, Ramechhap, Sindhuli, Rasuwa, and Sindhupalchok has also been completed.
