Prime Minister Sushila Karki Visits Solukhumbu and Bhojpur to Review Election Preparedness

Kathmandu. Prime Minister Sushila Karki visited Solukhumbu and Bhojpur districts today to review the election preparations and the current situation.

Prime Minister Karki held discussions with local residents and government officials in Namche and Salleri of Solukhumbu.

In Salleri, the discussion was attended by Chief Election Officer Chandrakumar Pokharel, Chief District Officer Lilakumari KC Pandey, Lieutenant Colonel Bijay Prakash Angdembe, Deputy Superintendent of Police Manojit Kunwar, Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police Suraj Pandey, local representatives, and others.

During a program organized at the District Coordination Committee office in Salleri, Chief Election Officer Pokharel and Chief District Officer KC provided updates on the election preparations.

Chief District Officer KC informed that there are no security issues, the public life is peaceful, and no adverse weather conditions have been observed so far.

She also mentioned that looking at the weather patterns of the past few years, instances of snowfall in Falgun have been rare.

She stated that if snowfall does occur, alternative arrangements might be necessary for some locations in the high Himalayan region.

Prime Minister Sushila Karki expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far and conveyed confidence that the upcoming elections will be conducted in a peaceful and reliable environment.
