Nepal Oil Corporation Begins Direct LPG Sales to Public Amid Shortage Complaints

Kathmandu. Following increased complaints about a shortage of cooking gas (LPG) in the market, the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has arranged for gas sales distribution directly from its Teku office to the general public.

The NOC started selling gas from a counter set up on the premises of its Teku office in Kathmandu starting Wednesday, after consumers complained about not being able to find gas at dealerships.  

According to NOC Spokesperson Manoj Thakur, consumers of Nepal Gas, Everest Gas, and Sugam Gas, which are particularly facing shortages in the market, can obtain gas from Teku. He informed that distribution will take place from 10 AM to 4 PM.
