Luis Diaz Nets Hat-Trick as Bayern Munich Thrashes 10-Man Hoffenheim 5-1 in Bundesliga

Munich. A spectacular hat-trick from Colombian winger Luis Diaz and two goals from Harry Kane powered Bayern Munich to a dominant 5-1 victory over 10-man Hoffenheim.  

With this win, Bayern has re-established a clear six-point lead at the top of the German Bundesliga. Although Borussia Dortmund had reduced the gap to three points after defeating Wolfsburg on Saturday, Bayern has made a strong comeback.

Bayern played aggressively from the start of the match. Harry Kane converted a penalty after Colombian winger Luis Diaz was fouled in the penalty area, giving the team the initial lead.  

Due to the same foul, Hoffenheim defender Kevin Akpoguma was sent off with a red card, putting the visiting team under pressure. Although Andrej Kramari scored to bring the game level, 10-man Hoffenheim could not withstand Bayern's pressure.

Kane scored his second goal of the match, completing his 38th goal of the season, and also provided an assist for Diaz. Former Liverpool star Diaz completed his hat-trick by tapping in a pass from Michael Olise for his second goal and his third in the final minute of the game.  

With this victory, defending champions Bayern have further strengthened their title defense campaign, while Hoffenheim remains in third place in the league after the defeat.
