Pedestrian hit to death by tractor

Surkhet –A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a tractor here. 

The District Police Office, Surkhet has confirmed the death of Manasha Pandey, 62, of Tatopani Rural Municipality-4, Jumla in the accident occurred near the Narayan Petrol Pump based in Birendranagar Municipality-10. 

The tractor en route to Birendranagar from Jhupra of Surkhet (Bhe 1 Ta 6867) hit Pandey, leaving her dead on the spot. Police have arrested driver Premraj Gharti for further investigations into the case, office spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyam Prasad Chaudhary said.
