Hydropower developer distributes computers to schools

Rasuwa – A private hydropower development company has provided computers to the schools of in Rasuwa district.
According to Chief of District Coordination Committee Kul Prasad Bhatta, Upper Trishuli-I Hydropower Project with the capacity of 216 megawatt provided 17 schools with 98 computers. The schools of Haku, Ramche and Dhunche areas were selected for the cause.
Headmaster of Rasuwa Secondary School based in Dhunche, Tempa Risang Ghale, said that better learning in computer and capacity building of the schoolchildren has become much easier from the computers.
Likewise, Chairman of Gosaikunda Rural Municipality Nurpu Tamang said that the school headmasters have also expected such types of supports from the company in the days to come.
The Nepal Water and Energy Development Company is preparing to construct the project from coming October with the consortium investment from South Korea.
The entire infrastructures of the project would be underground and the length of the tunnel would be nine kms, the technicians said.
