Fire inflicts losses estimated at thousands in Rolpa

Rolpa – Two separate incidents of fire in Rolpa has displaced four families and caused property losses amounting to thousands. 

Three private residences at Jugar area of Triveni rural municipality – 4 were destroyed in the fire which broke out on Sunday night. 

The fire which started from a cowshed of one Hari Pariyar quickly spread to his residence and the neighbouring houses belonging to Ramesh Pariyar and Nanda Bahadur Pun, police said. The fire inflicted a loss estimated at more than one million rupees. 

The fire was tamed by the police with help of the local residents and prevented from causing further damages. 

In another incident, a fire at a house in Madichaur of Rolpa municipality – 7 inflicted a loss amounting to more than one million rupees. The fire which engulfed Bamarta Pun's residence destroyed clothes, commodities and furniture, police said. The fire was taken under control by police and local residents before it could spread further.
