Nuwakot – An elderly couple here has provided one ropani of land (5,476 square feet) in charity to a school to run higher education classes.
Man Bahadur Karki (Bharat), 75, and his spouse Sita Karki gifted the land to the Panchakanya Secondary school based in Ghalegaun of Panchakanya Rural Municipality-3, Nuwakot. Man Bahadur who was born here currently lives in Kathmandu.
The Karki couple purchased the land at Rs 500,000 and donated it to the school. He said they (couple) wished that no children in his birthplace be deprived of higher education and decided to assist the school to run the classes.
