Biplav-led CPN leaders rearrested after getting freed on bail

Gaighat, Udayapur–  The leaders of the Netra Bikram Chand – led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) have been arrested again after being freed on bail by the District Court, Udayapur. 

The district court on Thursday released party's central member Kiran Rai among other leaders on bail only to be rearrested in the evening. 

Those rearrested include Kiran Rai, Dhankuta District In-charge Madhav Poudel, Tehrathum district member Dipsan Limbu, Navaraj Bhattarai and Kamala Limbu, said District Police Office, Udayapur. 

Rai said the court had released them on bail set at Rs 10,000 each and on parole, but the police rearrested them from the District Bar Association office in the evening and violated human rights. 

Udayapur's Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Meghraj Adhikari, said they were rearrested for interrogation as FIRs were being registered against them at the Morang District Police Office.
