NC mulls granting well-wisher status to NEAT – Nepal

Kathmandu – Nepali Congress is mulling over a proposal to grant the status of well-wisher organization to Nepal Entrepreneurs Association of Tourism (NEAT – Nepal).

At a programme held to felicitate the NC's newly appointed 'vice president, general secretary and joint general secretary', NC Joint General Secretary Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat said discussions were being held at the central committee to grant NEAT – Nepal the status of well-wisher organization.

"Discussions have been taking place at the central committee to grant NEAT – Nepal a status of well-wisher organization, the next CC meeting will endorse this," he said.

Applauding the significant role played by NEAT – Nepal in tourism sector's development and expansion, Dr Mahat noted that the party could rightfully use the tourism entrepreneurs.

NEAT – Nepal's Chairman Deepak Mahat complained that NC is yet to fully grasp the tourism sector. "What the tourism entrepreneurs have demanded with the party, they are yet to receive it," he stressed.

NEAT's member Surendra Bhattarai said around 600 tourism entrepreneurs are affiliated with NEAT – Nepal.
