Bayern Munich in Talks to Extend Contract with Star Striker Harry Kane

Munich. Discussions have begun for a contract renewal between German giants Bayern Munich and English captain Harry Kane. The club's Sporting Director, Max Eberl, confirmed that talks are underway regarding extending Kane's contract. 

The 32-year-old Kane, who joined Bayern from Tottenham in 2023 for a record 100 million Euros, is having an impressive run in Germany. In the 126 matches played for Bayern so far, Kane has scored 119 goals and provided 30 assists. 

With his excellent performance, Bayern also won the 2024-25 Bundesliga title, which is the first major trophy of Kane's professional career. Speaking at an event in Frankfurt, Eberl stated that conversations with Kane are positive and an appropriate decision will be made when the time comes.

Kane himself hinted in October that his stay in Munich could be extended. He mentioned that his desire to return to the Premier League is currently diminishing and that he and his family are very happy in Munich. 

Kane's form has not stopped this season either. He has scored 34 goals in 30 matches for coach Vincent Kompany's team. He appears very close to breaking Robert Lewandowski's historic record of 41 goals in a single season.

The club's CEO, Jan-Christian Dreesen, informed that Kane and his family have fully integrated into Munich. Dreesen stated that Kane has great faith in the club and there is no immediate need to rush into a contract extension.
