Almost all quake-damaged health institutions reconstructed in Rasuwa

 

 

Rasuwa –Almost all health institutions damaged by the April 25, 2015 Gorkha earthquake in Rasuwa district have been reconstructed. 


The earthquake had damaged all 18 health institutions and a district hospital established in the district. According to Chief of District Public Health office, Dr Gunanidhi Sharma, out of 19 damaged health institutions, 18 were reconstructed. 


Locals have started getting smooth and easy service after the reconstruction of the health institutions. 
Different organisations including Nepal Red Cross Society, Karuna Foundation, Save the Children, Building Division office under Urban Development and among others carried out reconstruction of the damaged heath institutions. 


Officer at the District Public Health Office, Shiva Prasad Badal, said that the health institutions, that were compelled to provide health services from tent, have started providing health services from new buildings after the reconstruction task.
