High-level talks team formed to hold talks with Dr KC starts its work from today itself

Kathmandu - The government has formed a three-member high-level talks team to hold talks with Dr Govinda KC. Dr KC is on fast-onto-death for the past few days putting forth various demands including reforms in the medical education sector. 

Health Minister Girirajmani Pokharel said that team under the coordination of Secretary at the Education Ministry, Shanta Bahadur Shrestha, has been formed where secretaries of Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers and Health Ministry are the members. 

Talking to RSS, Minister Pokharel said that the team has already started its work and that he too talked with education minister about the medical education bill which is now before the Parliament. He said that the education minister was positive to forward the issues by holding discussions with bodies concerned in this regard as various issues are related with health ministry. 

A team under the leadership of Prod Dr YP Singh would hold talks from the side of Dr KC.
