Hindu leader Acharya returns home

Biratnagar –Hindu priest Shreeniwas Acharya who was injured after being shot at by an unidentified group returned home today, following weeks-long treatment at the Neuro Hospital, Biratnagar. The hospital confirmed his discharge today. 


Unidentified people had shot at him, leaving him severely injured in the night of April 7 as he was at a local temple here to facilitate the religious event. He sustained bullet injury to upper part of his right chest. He was treated by a medical team led by senior doctor Sudip Khaniya, keeping at the ICU. 


Following the attack, police arrested two suspects in the case, who were later released as police failed to gather evidences against them. The guilty in the attack is yet to be landed in police net. ---
