Case under attempted murder filed against policeman throwing acid on woman

Chitwan – A case under attempted murder has been filed against a Sub-Inspector of Police who allegedly threw acid on a woman. 

ASI Ramchandra Khaniya, posted at the Temporary Traffic Post, Tandi Sunday threw acid on Kalpana Shrestha residing in a rented room at Trichowk of Bharatpur Metropolis-4. Her spouse Kishan Shrestha, 30, of Bharatpur Metropolis-12, a Nepalese Army, has filed a case against the 51-year-old accused, claiming that the attack was intentional and made with a desire to kill the woman. 

Deputy Superintendent of Police said the investigations in detail against the case will start from today. Kabita, 30, is undergoing treatment at the Bharatpur Hospital. She suffers injuries to her ear, eye, chest and legs. 
According to Kabita, the accused had been following her for a long time. The Shrestha couple had in the past filed a complaint against him at the police as she was getting telephone calls and threats from him.
