Minister Basnet stresses on promoting tourism for country's prosperity

Kathmandu –Minister for Forests and Environment, Shakti Bahadur Basnet, has stressed on need to promote tourism for country's prosperity. 

Inaugurating the fourth anniversary of Shikhar Post Media Group on Sunday, Minister Basnet expressed his commitment of creating a situation in the coming year where a message can be sent to the potential tourists over Nepal's exemplary development in the environmental sector. 

He also noted that media must work by keeping the country and people's interest foremost. On the occasion, lawmaker Hem Kumar Rai said everyone's attention has been diverted towards the need to develop the country and called for unity among all to realize the dream of New Nepal. 

Minister Basnet also officially launched the shikhar.com, an online edition of the Shikhar Post Media Group.
