11 – year – old drowns in a pit dug out by crusher company

Melamchi – A child has drowned in a pit dug out by a crusher industry at Fathkeshwor area of Melamchi municipality – 13 on Thursday. 

11 – year – old Karsang Tamang, a native from Bhojpur and visiting maternal uncle's house at Giranchaur of Melamchi – 12 died in the unfortunate incident, according to Sub Inspector Sri Ram KC from Area Police Office, Melamchi. 

The locals have been angered by the incident. The child drowned in the pit dug out by the Ganga Indrawati Crusher. The company has dug out numerous such pits along the bank of the Indrawati river. 

The child's body has been taken to the Melamchi Primary Health Centre for post-mortem examination.
