New Case of Japanese Encephalitis in Tanahun
A new case of Japanese Encephalitis has been confirmed in Tanahun district. The Province Public Health Office confirmed the infection in a ten-year-old girl who is a resident of Vyas Municipality-7. With this new case, the total number of Japanese Encephalitis infections in the district has now reached three.
Previous Cases
Before this, two other cases had been confirmed. On September 18, a 71-year-old man from Ambukhaireni Rural Municipality-1, Baradi, was diagnosed with the infection. Earlier, on August 27, an 80-year-old man from Bhimad Municipality-2 was also confirmed to have the disease.
Public Health Response
Following the discovery of these infections, a team of health workers has been active in the community. They are conducting health awareness programs to inform the public about the disease. This information was provided by Sudip Kandel, the information officer at the Province Public Health Office.
