Socialist Front set to announce protest against monarchist forces

Kathmandu, March 11 — The Socialist Front is set to decide today about holding a joint protest against 'reactionary forces.'

Yesterday, an informal discussion of the front held at the Maoist Center's parliamentary party office concluded that a meeting at 4 PM on Tuesday will announce the movement.

As the coordinator of the front and General Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal, Netra Bikram Chand 'Biplav,' is outside the Kathmandu Valley, no concrete decision was made yesterday, according to working committee member and co-chair of the Nepal Samajwadi Party (NSP), Ganga Narayan Shrestha.

Shrestha also shared that the informal discussion focused on how the monarchists have been benefiting negatively due to the behavior of the KP Sharma Oli government.

A meeting of the Maoist Center's office bearers held yesterday morning decided to take the former King Gyanendra Shah's activities seriously and resist his actions.
