NEPSE index drops by 46.33 points

Kathmandu, March 9 — The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index saw a slight decline today.

The index dropped by 46.33 points, continuing the downward trend that began last Monday.

As of today, the index stands at 2772.10 points.

The total market turnover reached NPR 10.01 billion.

Today, 24 companies saw their stock prices increase, while 217 companies experienced a drop in their prices.

The remaining two companies had their stock prices remain stable.

In today's market, three insurance companies, including Guardian Life, had their stocks hit a positive circuit breaker.

Among the companies with a circuit breaker are ICF Finance’s debenture and Bhugol Energy.

The shares of Upakar Microfinance and Sindhu Development Bank dropped by 10%.

The index for all sectors fell today, with the "Other" and "Investment" sectors seeing the largest declines.

Based on turnover, Himalayan Re-Insurance led with a total of NPR 1.12 billion in trading volume.

In terms of the number of transactions, Guardian Life Insurance remained ahead once again.
