Students vandalize TU Rector's office

Kathmandu, March 7 — The Rector's office of Tribhuvan University was vandalized by students today.

The incident occurred as part of a protest by the Tribhuvan University Struggle Committee, which has been demanding a reduction in fees.

The students, who had been asking for a fee reduction, grew frustrated after their demands went unanswered.

The university had established four departments as central units: International Relations, Peace and Development, Gender Studies, and Social Work.

Despite this change, students were disappointed when the fees remained the same.

In their protest, the students locked the Rector's office, citing the university’s failure to address their concerns.

When the Rector attempted to break the lock without any discussion or negotiation, the students resorted to vandalizing the office.

They argued that their demands were being ignored and that they were forced to take such actions due to the lack of dialogue with the administration.
