Minister Bhattarai hospitalized for health issues, undergoing treatment

Kathmandu, February 25 — Minister for Education, Science, and Technology, Bidya Bhattarai, has been hospitalized for the past five days.

She has been receiving treatment at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital since last Friday after experiencing health issues.

She was admitted to the hospital due to fever, cough, and a sore throat. After issues with her vocal cords, doctors advised her to rest and refrain from speaking for a week.

Her health is gradually improving, according to her secretariat. There were concerns that she might have tuberculosis, but test results came back negative for the disease.

This morning, Minister of Health and Population, Pradeep Paudel, visited the hospital to check on Bhattarai's condition and gather updates on her health.

Before being admitted to the hospital, Minister Bhattarai had been resting at home due to her illness, but when her condition did not improve, she was hospitalized.
