NC President Deuba’s India visit called off

Kathmandu, February 20 — The planned visit of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba to India has been canceled.

Although the visit was scheduled for Thursday, it has now been postponed, as informed by Krishna Prasad Paudel, the Chief Secretary of the Nepali Congress Central Office.

According to Indian sources, the visit was called off after it was determined that there would be no high-level meetings in India.

Until last night, the India Foundation had been promoting the news that former Prime Minister of Nepal, Sher Bahadur Deuba, would attend the Kumbh Global Summit on Development and Sustainability.

Deuba had been preparing to travel to India as a speaker for the summit.
