Nepal Airlines plane grounded in Japan

Kathmandu, February 3 — A Nepal Airlines plane has malfunctioned in Japan. The flight RA 434 could not take off after the aircraft broke down.

According to local time, the plane was scheduled to take off at 6:10 AM when a tire burst, preventing the flight from departing.

Nepal Airlines Corporation's spokesperson (Technical) Manoj Kumar Thakur mentioned that discussions are underway to decide whether to send technicians from Nepal or have the repairs done locally.

"The tire exploded, and it needs to be fixed. We are discussing whether to send technicians from here or use local ones to carry out the repairs. We will proceed with the repairs once a decision is made," he said.
