NEPSE index rose by 70 points
Kathmandu, February 2 — On Sunday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose by 70 points. Starting at 2662 points, the market surged significantly, reaching 2727 points.
Today, the trading volume on the NEPSE also saw a notable increase. A total of 2.48 million shares from 330 companies were bought and sold, amounting to a turnover of NPR 12.95 billion.
Among the companies that traded on Sunday, the stock prices of 202 companies increased. Seven companies saw their stocks hit the positive circuit limit, while the stock price of a community microfinance company hit the negative circuit limit.
All sub-indices of the NEPSE increased today. The microfinance sub-index rose by 4.92%, life insurance by 3.71%, investment by 3.38%, and development banks by 3.15%.
