NEPSE index drops by 10.41 points

Kathmandu, January 26 — The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped on Sunday, falling by 10.41 points to settle at 2,643.93 points. The market recorded a total transaction of NPR 9.12 billion.

This decline follows a rise of 52 points in the market last Wednesday, which was followed by a correction on Thursday. The downward trend continued on Sunday.

Today, 121 companies saw a decrease in their share prices, while 116 companies experienced price increases, and 10 companies' prices remained unchanged.

The finance and manufacturing groups saw the largest declines, while the development banks, microfinance, and hydropower sectors experienced gains.

Additionally, two companies saw a positive circuit breaker, while four share scripts, including NIC Asia’s debenture, were hit by a negative circuit breaker.

Saptakoshi Development Bank, Nepal Reinsurance Company, and NRN Infrastructure were among the most actively traded companies in the market.
