UML expels six leaders for supporting Bhim Rawal

Kathmandu, January 23 — The CPN (UML) has taken disciplinary action against six leaders of its Achham district committee, accusing them of supporting Dr. Bhim Rawal's "Motherland Awakening Campaign."

The party stated that these leaders had acted in a way that was against the party's interests.

The action was taken after the leaders were found to be involved in the "Motherland Awakening Campaign," which was seen as working against the party's objectives.

In a press release issued on Wednesday, District Chairman Chandra Bohara and Secretary Bhim Bahadur Rawal announced the removal of the following individuals from their positions: Prakash Shah, Secretary of the District Committee and Head of the Organization Department; Sagar Singh Baabli, District Committee Secretariat Member; Bal Bahadur Kunwar, Shankar Bhul, Ratan Rawal, and Dhakendra Kunwar, the Chairman of the Sanfebagar Municipal Committee.

The press release from UML states, "These individuals participated in the rally named 'Motherland Awakening Campaign Nepal,' where anti-democratic and disrespectful slogans were raised against the party and the chairman of the party and honorable Prime Minister. They played an active role in a procession that was against the party."
