Cabinet recommends President to call Parliament session on January 31

Kathmandu, January 20 — The government has decided to convene the winter session of the federal parliament on Magh 18 (January 31).

The decision was made at a cabinet meeting on Monday, which recommended to President Ram Chandra Poudel to call a session of both houses of parliament on January 31.

A cabinet minister informed Ratopati, saying, "The decision has been made to recommend President Poudel to call the parliament session at 1 p.m. on January 31, Friday."

Opposition parties have criticized the government, claiming that it is delaying the parliament session to govern through ordinances.
