Foreign Minister Rana holds telephonic talks with Egyptian counterpart
Kathmandu – Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba has held a phone conversation with Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, Dr. Badr Abdel Aty.
The two discussed Egypt's role in facilitating a ceasefire in Gaza during their telephone conversation on Sunday.
According to the Foreign Ministry, during the discussion, Minister Abdel Aty assured Minister Rana that Egypt would prioritize the release of Nepali national Bipin Joshi, who has been held hostage by Hamas.
The Egyptian minister also mentioned that he would issue specific instructions to their negotiators in Gaza to expedite Bipin's release.
The Foreign Ministry expressed confidence that Bipin’s release would happen soon.
