Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup: Nepal restricted to 73 runs against Scotland

Malaysia, January 20 — Nepal Women Under-19 posted a total of 73 runs in 18.5 overs against Scotland Women Under-19 in their ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup match.

The innings saw early wickets fall as the Nepali batters struggled to build partnerships.

Sana Praveen was dismissed for 1 run off 4 balls, bowled by Ammy Baldie, while Sabitri Dhami made 10 runs off 11 balls before being stumped by Pippa Sproul off Nayma Sheikh.

Captain Puja Mahato top-scored for Nepal with 27 runs off 43 balls but was dismissed by Gabriella Fontenla off Maisie Maceira.

Seemana KC was trapped lbw by Ammy Baldie for 1 run, and Alisha Yadav (3 runs off 9 balls) was stumped by Pippa Sproul off Maisie Maceira.

Anu Kadayat remained unbeaten on 5 runs off 5 balls.

Rachana Chaudhary (0 off 2 balls) and Riya Sharma (2 off 9 balls) were dismissed by Maisie Maceira as well.

Scotland's bowling attack was led by Maisie Maceira, who claimed an impressive 5 wickets for 15 runs in 3.5 overs.

Ammy Baldie and Nayma Sheikh both picked up 2 wickets, while Kirsty McColl took 1 wicket.

Nepal managed to reach 73 runs, with extras contributing 14 runs (2 no-balls and 12 wides).
