Revolutionary Communist Party's General Convention to begin in Kathmandu on Thursday
Kathmandu, November 26 — The National Unity General Convention of the Revolutionary Communist Party is set to begin in Kathmandu on Thursday. Leader Hukum Singh informed that the preparations for the convention are in their final stages.
According to Singh, the organizing committee will hold a meeting on Wednesday. On the inaugural day of the convention, participants will gather at Shantibatika, march in a procession, and transform into an assembly at Bhugol Park, located in New Road.
The closed session, which will continue until December 8, will discuss and approve, with amendments, the political and organizational report to be presented by Chairman Mohan Baidhya. Singh stated that approximately 350 representatives from across the country will participate in the convention.
The Unity General Convention was initially planned between the Nepal Communist Party (Majority) and the group led by Shanta Bahadur Nepali, which split from the Nepal Communist Party (Masal). However, the Nepal Communist Party (Majority) has distanced itself from the unity convention and is preparing for a separate convention.
