Kathmandu becomes sixth most polluted city in the world

Kathmandu, November 14 — The air quality in the capital, Kathmandu, is deteriorating day by day. On Thursday morning, Kathmandu became the sixth most polluted city in the world.

According to IQAir's measurement at 9:30 AM, Kathmandu's Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 170. This level of air quality is considered unhealthy.

Lahore, Pakistan, holds the top position as the most polluted city in the world, with an AQI of 708, which is considered extremely hazardous. New Delhi, India, is ranked second with an AQI of 424.

Hanoi, Vietnam, ranks third, while Kolkata, India, and Dhaka, Bangladesh, hold the fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
