Government offices reopen today, working hours shortened by one hour
Kathmandu, November 5 — Government offices have reopened today after the Tihar festival holiday. The holiday extended until the day after Bhai Tika, meaning government offices have resumed operations only today.
Additionally, from today, the working hours of government offices have been shortened by one hour. According to the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, the office hours have been reduced due to shorter daylight hours during the winter season.
Although government office hours were already shortened by one hour from October 31, the offices will now open at 10:00 am and close at 4:00 pm starting today.
