Two Nepal nationals killed in car-bus crash in Uttar Pradesh

Kathmandu, November 3 — Two persons were killed and two others sustained injuries when a car collided with a bus on in Balrampur early Saturday morning, as reported by The Times of India.

The accident occurred when a car coming from Mohali in Punjab, and a UPSRTC bus from Balrampur depot from Bardhani collided head-on at national highway 730 near Ramnagar. The impact was so intense that the front portion of the car got completely crushed, and the bus veered off the road.

The victims, all residents of Nepal, were returning home to celebrate Bhaitika. The car's occupants were identified as driver Dinesh Belbase (37) and his wife, Sharda Belbase (37), Anil Sapkota (27) and Tek Bahadur (27).

"While Anil Sapkota died on the spot due to severe head injuries, Dinesh succumbed at the hospital. Tek Bahadur and his wife, Dhan Kala, were shifted to District Memorial Hospital," said superintendent of police, Balrampur, Vikash Kumar.

Station officer, Ramnagar, Avadhesh Raj Singh said investigation was underway to determine the cause of the accident.
